IT & Waste Electrical Equipment Receycling
WEE Uplift Policy and Pricing Q1 2009>>>>>>
wpc3c8f7aa.png

Due to the tightening of environmental regulations governing the disposal and recycling

of electronic equipment as a result of the European WEEE Directive in 2004, Companies

now legaly have a duty of care to dispose of their equipment responsibly.  This means that

WEEE (Waste Electrical & Electronic Equiopment) cannot simply be disposed of in the bin

or skip.

We have recognised that to many companies, particularly thoes who work to a

quality management system like ISO9001, this can be a complicated and expensive

process.  So as a service to our clients we offer a WEEE uplift or drop off service.

As an Environment Agency registered waste carrier we are authorised to transfer

WEEE  from our clients and dispose at an  authorised waste processing facility.

The process is simple.  Call us out, we collect the waste and based upon the types

and qty of waste we will invoice your company.  There is no need for a prior visit

to inspect the equipment to be uplifted and unlike many larger Waste Management

Companies, we will, if local uplift small quantities.  Alternatively, you can arrange to

drop the kit off at our premesis.

Once transferred we will issue you  with a Duty of Care Waste Transfer Note.

This proves that you have disposed of your equipoment responsibly.

For clients who have regular disposals, we can offer an online waste management

system whereby,  clients can  book disposals but more importantly, view all previous

waste transfer notes.   This is of particular use to companies who operate a

quality management system and who are likely to be audited by either the QMS

Certifier or for industrial based clients who are very likely to be audited by the

Environment Agency.

What's in it for us?  We also have to pay to dispose of the waste and make a

small margin on this to cover our costs.  We see this as a helpful services to

new and existing clients and helps to build business relationships.

Our WEEE uplift policy and pricing is fully documented in the pdf guide below

Pricing is based upon small quantities.  For larger quantities or if better pricing is

available from a current supplier, call us to discuss this.  We can also price per ton

for organisations who agregate their waste from many locations.
